Ken is an entrepreneur who started a software company named Bristol Technology, Inc. Ken owned and operated Bristol Technology for 20 years then sold it to Hewlett Packard (herein, HP), in 2007. Bristol was an award-winning software company that made the Inc 500 (back when it was the Inc 500, not today's Inc 5000.)
Ken was named Entrepreneur of the Year in Southern New England. Bristol was ranked #1 on the Connecticut Fast50. For the next 10 years, Ken was Chief Technology Officer (herein, CTO) of Dell’s Software Group. Ken held the position of Chief Architect at Computer Associates. Ken was also a CTO of HP’s Software Group. However, Ken was frustrated that enterprise companies only serviced large customers with lots of money. The enterprise companies focused less on helping the small- medium-sized companies (herein, SMBs) leverage technology to improve outcomes.
Present day, Ken loves working with SMB owners who understand that IT provides a competitive advantage. Ken’s role for TeamLogic IT of Charleston, SC is as a Chief Information Officer (herin, CIO). Ken provides consultations for IT strategies that meet 21st century security, compliance, network and cloud requirements to drive IT performance, workforce productivity, and yield the best Return on Investment. Ken has been an Adjunct Professor of Information Technology at Laurel Ridge Community College since 2018. Ken teaches classes in IT management and software development.
Ken holds a Master of Science degree in Computer Engineering from National Technological University in Fort Collins, Colorado. A Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree from Vanderbilt University. Also, a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Millsaps College, Jackson, Mississippi.
