Business Development Manager
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying, forecasting and attaining sales revenue goals within a pre-assigned territory. Business Development Manager is responsible for all aspects of sales and account management. This includes lead generation, qualifying, setting appointments, making sales calls, presenting proposals and closing sales as well as coordinating all required resources to respond to complex requirements and sales situations. Effective management of territory and accurate reporting of sales activities are required.
Business Development Manager Responsibilities:
Prospect new sales opportunities with small and medium businesses applying lead generation sales methodologies
Meet or exceed quotas for qualified leads/appointments through phone and email-based prospecting
Promptly follow-up with and qualify marketing-generated inquiries for our services
Perform lead nurturing activities for all qualified leads
Research and gather information about target SMB’s and develop prospecting lists
Document all activities and interactions in CRM
Efficiently manage prospect pipeline to produce the maximum amount of results
Create and perform various outbound call campaigns around verticals, specific events, or targets in addition to ongoing activities to build sales pipeline
Support our direct or indirect channel sales efforts as needed or requested
Conduct web research and navigate organizations to uncover appropriate contacts
Business Development Manager Requirements:
Have a demonstrated track record of successful selling preferably in a high technology environment
Strong qualifying, prospecting and marketing skills; ability to reach prospects creatively, identify decision makers, set and go on appointments, handle objections positively and professionally
Develop and execute on a strong prospecting plan of attack
Maintain CRM data, ability to share best practices, continually improve processes and provide clear and consistent reporting to management
Proactively manage your schedule and sales pipeline in order to meet milestones and objectives
Field inbound calls and leads from various sources and qualify for business potential
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial work environment
Must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain a high degree of professionalism
Powerful written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated ability to deliver above-expectation results in driving pipeline growth
Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
Employ creative tactics to reach the executive management of identified companies
College degree or equivalent, at least three years sales experience
Personal Skills and Characteristics:
Self-motivated, driven to plan and execute rigorous lead generation activities
Small business acumen a plus
Strong team-player
High integrity and ethical behavior
Strong work ethic, can-do customer service attitude
IT Services experience a plus
