Outsourcing to TeamLogic IT Proves to be the Right Decision

Challenge

A web-to-print service provider/document management house needed to make a decision:  hire another full-time person to replace their exiting long-time tech employee, thus continuing to assume those salary and benefit costs; or, outsource their IT needs to another entity. The question/quandary:  Could they find an outside IT vendor that would be able to respond quickly and expertly enough to address their problems, since any system downtime represents a huge drain on productivity and revenue?

Solution

TeamLogicIT’s experienced and talented technicians were able to meet and exceed this print house’s expectations via our proprietary SystemWatch IT management and support system. Designed as a proactive and preventive solution for detecting and fixing various simple and complex IT issues, we installed SystemWatch IT to cover the company’s three servers and 27 workstations. Through this next-generation technology, we are able to eliminate many issues created by human error (omission or commission) and remotely monitor their servers and individual computers to head off and fix problems, often before the client is able to detect they exist. On those rare occasions where onsite support is needed, we are able to respond quickly (usually within 30 minutes to an hour) to get the company’s computer systems back on track.

Results

Our contribution to this company’s bottom line is measurable, with savings that are very significant. They report that outsourcing to TeamLogicIT costs a mere 1/3 of what it did to keep a full-time tech person on staff.   Besides ongoing system maintenance, we were able to step in on two separate occasions to help them minimize downtime. On one occasion, they had DNS problems. Our technician was able to detect it early, fix it during the evening and have their system running smoothly again before employees came to work in the morning. In a second incident, the company’s Verizon T1 lost power. We were able to supply a backup power system so that the company experienced only about four hours of downtime, rather than a potentially bank-breaking 48.
