The Challenge for Diversified Capital Funding
Before Diversified Capital Funding became an independently operated company, they had used the services of an IT person provided by their corporate office. They never thought much about the quality of service they received—it was just something handled by Corporate. However, when Karen Schenone became the sole proprietor and took over the repositioned business she needed to find a new, reliable IT provider.
“After parting with the technician Corporate provided, I put the job out to bid with that same individual and he was way too expensive. I also felt it was time for us to have a professional team give us a fresh assessment of what we had in place. I knew we needed to have our network redesigned with firewalls, security, backup systems, and we needed someone to provide overall daily support,” said Schenone.
Solution
Since Diversified Capital Funding was a small business without an IT department, Jon Simms, owner of TeamLogic IT Mountain View, knew that a managed services approach to keeping their computer systems operational and their people productive was the right solution. He consulted with Karen and made recommendations to improve the basic infrastructure of Diversified Capital’s office IT systems. This allowed Jon and his team to remotely access the computers to troubleshoot and even fix issues immediately, thus eliminating the chance of downtime.

Most companies only need 1 to 5. We see this often in companies where someone tells them they need a separate public IP address for every device on their network. This simply isn’t necessary. We changed this to only 1 IP address and their costs went from $300 per month down to $50!”
“Early on Jon had recommended the installation of a Web server for our database, but we didn’t want to do that; a regular PC desktop computer seemed fine to us. But we should have listened to him. Now, we need to have certain software upgraded, which requires a Web-based server, so he’s installing it for us.
